So too, we must diligently contend for the faith and not lose heart. It is the little battles where ground is won or lost.

We look forward to more edifying and God honouring messages and thoughts on your blog.

All the blessings to you and the family.

In Christ,
JimJimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07281425856398968419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18917324.post-1145072395632236472006-04-14T22:39:00.000-05:002006-04-14T22:39:00.000-05:00Hey Jim,I am glad that you are continuing to bear ...Hey Jim,

I am glad that you are continuing to bear the torch.

AntonioAntoniohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08383024070371150288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18917324.post-1145055144697181902006-04-14T17:52:00.000-05:002006-04-14T17:52:00.000-05:00James, welcome here! Truly nothing is more revolting to God than the religion of a carnal soul. It is the offerings of Cain over and over again.

Freedom in Christ, amen!.Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07281425856398968419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18917324.post-1144867144995453402006-04-12T13:39:00.000-05:002006-04-12T13:39:00.000-05:00Jim, you are quite good in your unspoken observati...Jim, you are quite good in your unspoken observation. I was a Catholic as a young girl and rejected it. I have no desire to return to guilt when Christ has given me the right to be called a child of God for simply believing in His name. That is freedom! ...freedom to work for Him. I appreciate Bobby's contribution of the historical theology tidbit. I love that about Bobby.Rose~https://www.blogger.com/profile/14906854078623897422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18917324.post-1144849308838093082006-04-12T08:41:00.001-05:002006-04-12T08:41:00.001-05:00Whatever are you talking about Bobby? ;~)Whatever are you talking about Bobby? ;~)Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07281425856398968419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18917324.post-1144849282298459572006-04-12T08:41:00.000-05:002006-04-12T08:41:00.000-05:00Whatever are you talking about Bobby? ;~)Whatever are you talking about Bobby? ;~)Jimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07281425856398968419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18917324.post-1144821622915609122006-04-12T01:00:00.000-05:002006-04-12T01:00:00.000-05:00Nice rhetorical work here, Jim! He condemned the works/righteousness implicit in the Puritan framework, to their faces, subtley using the despised "trojan horse" that the Roman Catholic church provided for such ridicule. By arguing this way he indirectly condemned his Calvinist brothers theology by ironically drawing parallel's between them and the RC. The apostle Paul argued the same way, rhetorically in I Cor 1--4.

You're genius, Jim ;)!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
